Contractors must focus on human resources and materials to further speed up the construction progress of the highway project.

The delegation inspected the construction progress of construction package No. 9, at the construction site of bridge No. 01, the intersection with Quan Lo Phung Hiep National Highway in Long Hung commune, My Tu district. Here, the investor reported the construction progress of a number of bridges on the route and the progress of sand filling of the road in the past time, as well as the implementation of construction in 2025. Accordingly, package No. 9 has an implementation value of about 2,075 billion VND, up to now, the construction has reached 25.3% of the contract value, 9.4% behind schedule. The reason is that the contractor is slow to arrange construction teams at the site and has difficulty in sourcing materials.

Speaking at the construction package No. 9, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Lau emphasized that this year, the expressway project has been allocated a large amount of capital, and the units must proactively speed up the construction progress from the beginning. Through understanding the situation, the contractors have made great efforts in arranging construction teams, but many sections are still behind schedule. Therefore, it is recommended that contractors arrange vehicles, overtime, crews and increase construction teams to speed up the progress of the project; at bridges that have been cleared, the contractor must speed up the construction progress as committed, and at the same time, focus on vehicles to increase the delivery of sand to the construction site.

Next, the delegation inspected the actual progress of construction package No. 10, and inspected the construction site of bridge No. 17 in Thuan Hung commune, My Tu district. Here, the representative of the construction unit reported on the advantages, difficulties and implementation status of the package in the past as well as the construction progress in the coming time. To date, package No. 10 has an implementation value of about 548/2,162 billion VND, reaching 25.3% of the contract value. The progress is estimated to be about 9.7% behind schedule.

Speaking at the construction package No. 10, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Lau said that, implementing the Prime Minister 's direction, the Expressway Project must be basically completed by mid-2026, so the pressure on the progress of the packages up to this point is very large. Thereby, it is recommended that the investor work with the contractors again, re-determine the construction time of the items and works; the demand for sand for filling and the amount of sand needed from the package to regulate accordingly. Relevant functional agencies are responsible for issues related to sand volume, increasing mine capacity, opening new mines to promptly supplement sand sources for the expressway, all working together to complete the expressway project as soon as possible.
