For centuries, Quang Loi residents have lived and closely connected with this rich brackish water area and developed traditional occupations such as fishing, aquaculture, weaving and developing typical lagoon cuisine . Today, this place is one of the most typical community tourism destinations in Hue, attracting visitors by its natural beauty in harmony with the green and sustainable development of the heritage city.
According to the Hue City Department of Tourism, choosing Ngu My Thanh - Con Toc to implement the plastic reduction model not only contributes to preserving the natural landscape and local livelihoods, but also demonstrates a strong commitment to protecting the environment, minimizing the loss of plastic waste into the environment, towards developing green and sustainable tourism in Hue - a place that is aiming to become a plastic-reducing city in Central Vietnam.
Specifically, 8 tourism service businesses in Quang Loi have committed to implementing specific measures to reduce plastic waste in their business operations.
