Reviewing the current status of healthcare work in Lao Cai province, proposing investment and development for the period 2026 - 2030

From July 14 to 18, Working Group No. 2 led by Mr. Vu Trong Thuong, Deputy Director of Lao Cai Provincial Department of Health, inspected and reviewed the current status of Lao Cai province's health care at medical units in the old Lao Cai province.

The delegation discussed and grasped the characteristics of the situation of provincial and commune health units and regional centers/hospitals after the merger of the two provinces and the implementation of the two-level local government model.

Conduct direct inspections and reviews in all areas: organizational structure, human resources; facilities; medical equipment; financial work; professional activities such as medical examination and treatment; preventive work; pharmaceutical work; population and children; food safety, etc.

At the working sessions, representatives of medical units also proposed investment and development needs for the 2026 - 2030 period.

The results of the inspection and review of the current status of health care in Lao Cai province will be the basis for the sector to analyze, evaluate and advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee on the orientations and plans for health care in 2026 and the Project on health care development, health care for the people, and improving population quality in the period 2026 - 2030.
