According to Korean media, the third episode of the new variety show "Apartment 404" has aired and the viewership ratings have been announced. The show initially started with a stable rating of 2.7% nationwide, and the third episode ended with a rating of 1.7% nationwide.
Previously, the second episode also only had a rating of 2.1%. The sharp decline in viewership ratings for three consecutive episodes shows that "Apartment 404" is no longer as attractive as previous seasons.
Despite the show featuring global star Jennie - a member of the popular K-pop group Blackpink and Yoo Jae Suk - a veteran entertainer known for his hosting skills, the show's ratings failed to maintain their momentum.
Meanwhile, the show was originally scheduled to air for 12 episodes, every Friday at 8:40 p.m. Korean time - also a prime time slot but still failed to attract a large audience.
According to Korean media, Jennie Blackpink has tried hard to promote and participate in the show enthusiastically but still has not attracted as many viewers as expected.
Previously, the show "Apartment 404" had a favorable start, ranking 2nd in Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines on Flixpatrol's global OTT viewership ranking page, just behind tvN's "Marry My Husband" after its premiere on February 23.
The show also made it to the Top 10 list in the TV show category on Amazon Prime Video in 17 countries and regions, including Malaysia and Thailand.
