According to GizmoChina , the latest leaked information about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 shows that Samsung may not upgrade the camera hardware on its next foldable phone, instead focusing on improving image quality with software and AI.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 leaked camera specs aren't very appealing
According to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will use the same triple camera set as the Z Flip 6, including a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10 MP selfie camera. The source also said that Samsung has no plans to add a telephoto camera or a camera hidden under the screen.

Instead of upgrading the hardware, Samsung is said to focus on improving the photography capabilities with software, similar to what it did with the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung may apply new technologies such as ProVisual Engine and AI features like 'Best Face' to optimize image quality on the Z Flip 7.
However, many users expressed disappointment that Samsung did not invest in upgrading the camera on the Z Flip 7. Compared to competitors who are constantly improving camera hardware, Samsung's software-focused strategy may make the Z Flip 7 lose its appeal.
Besides the camera, the Z Flip 7 is expected to be equipped with the Exynos 2500 chip manufactured by Samsung. Currently, there is not much information about the performance of this chip.
The question is, can Samsung create a breakthrough in image quality with just software and AI? The answer will be available when the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is officially launched in the near future.
