Every year, in November, residential areas in Ha Tinh bustlingly organize the National Great Unity Day. This is an opportunity to strengthen solidarity, encourage people to enthusiastically build a new life.

These days, all villages and residential groups in Nghi Xuan district are actively preparing to ensure that the National Great Unity Day truly becomes a festival for all people.

In Lam Thuy village, Xuan Giang commune, since the beginning of November, all the roads in the village have been cleaned, the national flag is flying. Many people from old to young enthusiastically participate in cleaning the village roads and alleys; women and mothers focus on practicing performing arts...

Mr. Nguyen Hong Quan - Party Cell Secretary, Head of Lam Thuy Village Front Work Committee said: "To prepare for the National Great Unity Day, the inauguration of the community house, cadres and people in the village have launched a general cleaning of village roads and alleys, practiced arts, sports , and competed in labor production... This year, our village was chosen as a model, so people are even more excited and honored. This is also an encouragement for organizations and people in Lam Thuy village to better carry out the emulation movement, building the village to develop more and more".

At the National Great Unity Day, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Tu Anh and leaders of Nghi Xuan district presented 10 gifts to poor and near-poor households in Lam Thuy village.

Not only Lam Thuy village but also residential areas in Nghi Xuan district are bustling with the atmosphere of preparing for the National Great Unity Day. Besides actively building new rural areas, practicing arts, sports..., activities during the peak month for the poor are also actively implemented by the Nghi Xuan District Fatherland Front Committee.

Mr. Le Tien Hai - Chairman of the Nghi Xuan District Fatherland Front Committee said: "In the past time, the district has made efforts to effectively implement the goals of poverty reduction and social security. Since the beginning of the year, the District Fatherland Front Committee together with departments, branches and organizations have built 42 gratitude houses and presented 4,637 gifts to people in difficult circumstances in the area... In particular, during the National Great Unity Day in residential areas, the District Fatherland Front Committee also coordinated with localities to present gifts to poor and near-poor households, helping people have a warm and meaningful festival."

As usual, this year's National Great Unity Day in Ha Tinh City has a ceremony and festival that are carefully prepared in both content and form, while still ensuring safety and economy.

The Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh city coordinated with Bac Ha ward to organize a ceremony to hand over a solidarity house to the family of Ms. Tran Thi Thuy (residential group 3, Bac Ha ward).

Mr. Nguyen Duc Danh - Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee said: “The National Great Unity Day in Ha Tinh City is always organized in a practical, economical, safe, and non-ostentatious and non-wasteful manner. All residential areas organize cultural, artistic, and sports exchange activities... while also praising good people, good deeds, exemplary cultural families, and effectively launching patriotic competitions; some inter-family groups organize "solidarity meals" which are very appropriate and meaningful. In addition, the City Fatherland Front Committee also organizes activities for the poor, repaying gratitude, encouraging the spirit, encouraging people to unite, strive to overcome difficulties, and join hands to build a rich and civilized homeland".

For mountainous areas that have just experienced floods in late October and early November, the National Great Unity Day is an opportunity for people to "revive" their spirit and work together to complete the plans they have set out.

Representatives of the provincial Veterans Association and Vu Quang district leaders awarded certificates of merit to Hop Binh residential area for its outstanding achievements in implementing the National Great Unity Day in the period 2003 - 2023.

In village 1, Bong Giang (Duc Giang commune, Vu Quang), these days, in addition to cleaning up their houses and overcoming the consequences of the flood, people are also taking advantage of the time to repair the village cultural house to prepare for the festival. Ms. Nguyen Thi Van - a resident of village 1, Bong Giang shared: "After the flood receded, people in the village took the opportunity to gather on the village roads, alleys and the cultural house to clean up and prepare for the National Great Unity Day. Up to now, the work has been basically completed, we are actively practicing performing arts to perform at the upcoming festival."

It is known that immediately after the flood receded, local authorities and people in flood-affected communes in Vu Quang district actively cleaned up after the flood. When the flood recovery work was completed, residential areas in Vu Quang district "joined hands" to prepare for the big festival. Mr. Tran Binh Lam - Chairman of the Vu Quang District Fatherland Front Committee said: "Promoting the spirit of solidarity, immediately after the flood receded, the Fatherland Front Committee and organizations supported people to overcome the consequences. At the same time, towards the National Great Unity Day, we support people to carry out tasks to build new rural areas, give gifts to disadvantaged households in the area...".

With the spirit of solidarity and unity, all residential areas in Ha Tinh have been enthusiastically preparing to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day and the National Great Unity Day. Homegrown art performances or "solidarity meals" have contributed to strengthening the bond within the community, creating more motivation for people to continue competing in labor, production, and building their homeland.

The National Great Unity Day was organized to ensure meaning, practicality, effectiveness, safety and economy.
