Inviting each other to go swimming in the hydroelectric lake, 1 student drowned

A group of four students went swimming in the hydroelectric reservoir area when suddenly one of them drowned and died.

At noon on July 10, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Gia Lai Province Police announced that they had recovered the body of L.D.T (born in 2007, residing in Group 3, Kbang Commune, Gia Lai Province) who drowned in the An Khe-Ka Nak Hydropower Reservoir.

Gia Lai Provincial Police deployed to search for victims.

Previously, on the afternoon of July 9, L.D.T and 3 friends went swimming in the An Khe-Ka Nak Hydropower Reservoir, located in Kbang commune, Gia Lai province.

At around 5:20 p.m. the same day, while L.D.T and a group of friends were bathing in the lake, they suddenly drowned. At this time, the group of friends tried to rescue them and called for help from the surrounding people but were unsuccessful.

Upon receiving the news, Kbang Commune Police arrived at the scene of the incident. At the same time, they reported to the An Khe Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team (under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police) to coordinate the search.

The police found the victim's body and handed it over to the family.

However, at this time it was getting dark, the lake was wide and deep, and the weather was windy, so rescue work encountered many difficulties.

With a high sense of responsibility, at 5:00 a.m. on July 10, the An Khe Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team arrived at the hydroelectric reservoir area to continue diving to search for drowning victims.

At about 7:40 a.m. the same day, the police found L.D.T's body and handed it over to his family according to regulations.
