Saigon Co.op and the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Tri province signed a cooperation program.
Accordingly, Saigon Co.op will survey, research and propose suitable retail models for key markets of Quang Tri province such as Dong Ha city, Quang Tri town, Vinh Linh district, Huong Hoa district and other qualified districts in the period from 2024 to 2030; creating favorable conditions for products introduced by the Department of Industry and Trade to connect and consume in the management system of Saigon Co.op.
Saigon Co.op coordinates with the provincial Department of Industry and Trade to deploy and implement cooperation to support transactions of food products in the safe food chain; provide requirements and technical standards of goods to the Department of Industry and Trade to guide and support businesses and production facilities in the province to bring goods into the distribution system of Saigon Co.op.

On the side of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Tri province, it will introduce and connect the province's products, especially OCOP products and typical products, to consumption in the management system of Saigon Co.op; coordinate with businesses and production facilities in the province to provide detailed information on food products in the supply chain of products according to the requirements and technical standards of Saigon Co.op.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong affirmed that Quang Tri province always supports and accompanies the proposals of Saigon Co.op, and at the same time requested Saigon Co.op to continue to pay attention to researching, surveying and proposing suitable retail models for the province's key markets; creating favorable conditions for OCOP products and local specialties to be consumed in the Saigon Co.op system.

Saigon Co.op General Director Nguyen Anh Duc said that the distribution and logistics system spanning across the country is a huge advantage of Saigon Co.op, through which Vietnamese and domestically produced goods can quickly reach consumers.
Saigon Co.op hopes that, from the first project, Co.opmart Dong Ha, Quang Tri province will continue to support and create conditions for the unit to develop new projects; cooperate to introduce OCOP goods and specialties of Quang Tri province to people nationwide.
On this occasion, Saigon Co.op donated a social security project worth 350 million VND to the People's Committee of Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province. This is the first project in a series of 150 social projects to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Saigon Co.op.
