At exactly 10:25 a.m. on December 2, flight VN1802 of Vietnam Airlines departed from Noi Bai airport and brought the first passengers to Dien Bien airport by Airbus A321. Now, the journey from the capital Hanoi to the historic land of the Northwest has been shortened to only one hour. The safe operation of the modern A321 jet at Dien Bien airport is considered an important milestone in the Vietnamese aviation industry, as well as opening up new development opportunities for the economy and society of Dien Bien province. Vietnam Airlines operates the Hanoi - Dien Bien route with a frequency of 7 round trips per week, departing on all days of the week.
