Noi Bai Airport raises aviation security control level

On the first day of the holiday, the number of passengers passing through Noi Bai International Airport increased sharply. The airport has raised its aviation security control level to level 1.

Today is expected to be the peak day of the holiday at Noi Bai International Airport. Today there are more than 570 flights, with more than 97 thousand passengers, an increase of nearly 20 thousand passengers compared to yesterday. Today alone there are 14 peak hours at the airport.

In anticipation of the high number of passengers, the airport has allocated flights evenly throughout the day. Support staff at the airport have also been increased to ensure that the flow of passengers at the check-in areas is orderly and smooth.

In particular, starting from today until May 3, Noi Bai airport will apply measures to strengthen level 1 aviation security control. That is, the airport will:

- Increase the number of aviation security control personnel in all areas, especially in key areas.

- 100% of passengers, luggage, goods, mail, and objects are checked and screened for security before being brought into restricted or isolated areas and boarding the aircraft.

- Increase the frequency of random visual checks on passengers and carry-on baggage that have passed through the gate or X-ray machine, even if there is no suspicion.
