From 1am on October 7, Hanoi began to experience heavy rains. The rainfall became heavier and heavier, reaching its peak right at work time. Heavy rain caused many streets and traffic to become congested. Many streets in Hanoi turned into rivers, vehicles stalled everywhere... Currently, about 30 flooded areas have been recorded in the center of the capital.

The meteorological agency forecasts that in the next 3-6 hours, Hanoi will have heavy to very heavy rain, with about 100 locations at risk of flooding.

Hanoi Drainage Company said that by early this morning, the central area recorded about 30 flooded spots. The rainfall from 0:00 to 6:30 was generally 90-150mm; locally higher in some places such as O Cho Dua 223.9mm, Hai Boi 204.9mm, Dai Mo 170.5mm, Phu Luong 163mm.
