The meteorological agency forecasts that in the next 3-6 hours, Hanoi will have heavy to very heavy rain, with about 100 locations at risk of flooding.

Hanoi Drainage Company said that by early this morning, the central area recorded about 30 flooded spots. The rainfall from 0:00 to 6:30 was generally 90-150mm; locally higher in some places such as O Cho Dua 223.9mm, Hai Boi 204.9mm, Dai Mo 170.5mm, Phu Luong 163mm.

Due to the high water level of inner-city rivers and lakes, many areas were flooded such as: Le Duc Tho (My Dinh Stadium Square), Phu Xa (Phu Xa - Phuc Hoa intersection), Duong Dinh Nghe - Nam Trung Yen (behind Keangnam), Vo Chi Cong (UDIC building), Hoang Quoc Viet (Electricity University), Phan Van Truong (market gate - military barracks), Hoa Bang (lane 99), Tran Cung (gas station A38), Tran Binh (from Mai Dich Ward People's Committee to Hospital 19/8),

Mac Thi Buoi, Minh Khai street (foot of Vinh Tuy bridge), Huynh Thuc Khang (Nguyen Hong intersection - alley 14), Thanh Cong (in front of the ward People's Committee), Ngoc Lam street (from Long Bien 1 intersection to Gia Lam Urban Environment Enterprise), Duc Giang (from Duc Hoa market to alley 97), Dam Quang Trung (in front and opposite Aeon Mall supermarket), Co Linh (in front and opposite Long Bien Secondary School).

To Huu (from Luong The Vinh to Trung Van), Do Duc Duc (road to Mieu Dam), Nguyen Trai (University of Social Sciences and Humanities area - on the side with even bus lanes), Quan Nhan, Yen Nghia (from Yen Nghia bus station to Ba La intersection), Xom street (opposite Hai Phat building), Le Loi - Tran Hung Dao (area around Ha Dong market), Quyet Thang street, To Hieu (in front of the Tax Department and HUD3 building), National Highway 6 (section of residential groups 1+4, Yen Nghia ward), TT18 area, Phu La ward.

The Northern Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that on October 7, Hanoi will continue to have moderate to very heavy rain with thunderstorms. The Hanoi Drainage Company is closely monitoring the weather and deploying forces to the scene to handle flooding and will update when there are new developments.
