According to the Ministry of Home Affairs , the focus of this year's Action Month is the application of science and technology and digital transformation in implementing gender equality; protecting the safety of women and girls in cyberspace; and limiting gender-inequitable views, attitudes and behaviors in the digital environment.

The Ministry of Home Affairs requires ministries, branches, agencies and localities to develop specific plans and organize multi-channel communication activities, suitable to actual conditions, ensuring efficiency, economy and practicality.

A notable highlight is the promotion of the application of information technology and digital transformation in the dissemination of policies and laws on gender equality. The message “Gender equality and safety in the digital age” will be strongly spread through social networking platforms such as Facebook, Fanpage, YouTube, helping to reach a wide audience, especially young people - a group that is often present and affected by cyberspace.

Along with that, the Ministry of Home Affairs encourages the organization of forums, seminars, workshops, training courses, online competitions, cultural and sports exchange programs, etc. to create a vibrant atmosphere and attract community participation. Communication products such as video clips, leaflets, infographics, and vivid visual documents will be widely distributed, targeting many different target groups.

The Ministry of Home Affairs requests ministries, branches and localities to issue documents directing and providing specific instructions on the implementation of the Action Month in each agency and unit. Based on actual conditions, it is possible to organize a launching ceremony or a preliminary summary of the communication program, and at the same time promptly reward and encourage outstanding collectives and individuals who have made positive contributions to gender equality work.

In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs emphasized the need to increase the mobilization of social resources, promote the socialization of communication activities, and at the same time carry out inspection and supervision of gender equality work at agencies, units and localities during the Action Month.

Violations of gender equality, violence or fraud against women and girls in cyberspace need to be strictly handled, contributing to building a safe and humane online environment.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, in recent times, gender equality work has achieved many positive results, demonstrated through enhancing the responsibility of all levels and sectors in implementing policies related to women; increasing women's participation in management and leadership and promoting communication to change social awareness.

Many programs and projects have been implemented to help narrow the gender gap in the fields of politics, economics, education, health, labor, etc. The role and position of women are increasingly affirmed in social life.

According to the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2024, Vietnam ranked 72nd out of 146 countries, up 15 places compared to 2021, demonstrating remarkable efforts in promoting gender equality and women's empowerment.
