Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism issued Document No. 1042/SDL-KTPC dated October 6, 2025 on strengthening security and safety for tourists, sent to Ho Chi Minh City Police, People's Committees of wards, communes, special zones and a number of related units.

Focus on implementing breakthrough solutions such as: Deploying and maintaining, monitoring and perfecting the "App for reporting emergency situations of insecurity and social order" system, to ensure that the software application maximizes its effectiveness, meeting practical needs to promptly record feedback from people and tourists (especially foreign tourists) on cases related to security and social order issues.

At the same time, direct specialized departments, especially the police of wards, communes, and special zones to strengthen and closely coordinate with the Youth Volunteer Force in inspecting service quality and tourism business conditions in the area; promptly detect and resolutely handle all violations of the law in the field of tourism, ensure security and order, urban beauty, and civilized behavior in tourist areas...

The Department of Tourism also requested tourism businesses to publicly list prices, sell at the right price and ensure the correct quantity, quality and weight of goods and services for tourists; not solicit, stalk, oppress or cheat tourists; ensure environmental hygiene in business areas; invest in building standard toilets to serve tourists; ensure food hygiene and safety for tourists...

Promote the spirit of responsibility and ensure absolute safety for tourists participating in tourism products that pose risks to their lives and health in order to prevent risks and unfortunate incidents.
