Support women to escape poverty and near poverty

(CT) - In 2025, the Women's Union of Thoi Long ward will continue to do a good job of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of women and children; organize many activities to return to the source, care for and educate revolutionary traditions for cadres and members... effectively according to the set plan.

Officials of the Women's Union of Thoi Long ward visited and learned about the lives and business situations of members who received loan support from the Union.

The Association has built, maintained and developed 18 effective collective economic models, with 625 members, with an income of 3-5 million VND/person/month. At the same time, the Association has strengthened coordination with functional sectors to support members and women in accessing loans. The whole ward has 28 groups borrowing capital from the Social Policy Bank, with over 1,440 households borrowing, with a total capital of over 58 billion VND; effectively maintaining capital groups to support women in borrowing interest-free capital for livestock raising, small business, garden renovation; supporting 10 women to start successful businesses. The Association has coordinated training, consulting and job referrals for over 1,000 women.

The Association mobilized to give 1,424 gifts to members and women in difficult circumstances; mobilized to give 430 gifts and scholarships to members' children who overcame difficulties to study well; supported the construction and repair of 3 Charity Homes...

Through many care and support activities, in 2025, the Association helped 16 poor and near-poor households with women to escape poverty and near-poverty.
