New landslide appeared, D'Ran commune urgently evacuated 6 households

On the morning of December 1, Chairman of the People's Committee of D'Ran Commune (Lam Dong) Dinh Viet Dung said that a new landslide had appeared in the area, so 6 households had to be urgently evacuated.

Specifically, the landslide is located on the west side of Da Nhim River, downstream of Don Duong Bridge, Village 1, D'Ran Commune.

During the flood at the end of November, this area was deeply gouged, creating a gaping hole.

1 house had 1/3 of the structure collapsed

After the water completely receded, at around 9am on December 1, a landslide occurred in the above area, including one house with 1/3 of the structure collapsed.

After receiving information from the people, the local authorities deployed forces to support 6 households to evacuate to a safe area; at the same time, they set up fences and put up warning signs to prevent people from approaching the landslide area.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi requested D'Ran commune to closely monitor the progress of the landslide area; and have a plan to ensure the safety of the people. In case of damaged houses, the locality needs to assess and proactively advise to have a support plan.
