
On the evening of November 30, the 6th International Experimental Theatre Festival - 2025, organized by the Vietnam Stage Artists Association in coordination with the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province, officially closed at Pham Thi Tran Theatre (Ninh Binh).
The play “Green Frog Dream” by Hai Phong Traditional Theater was honored to receive a gold medal and became one of the outstanding artistic marks of this year's festival.
The play recreates life in a village pond with a profound message about protecting the environment - protecting life, expressed through a unique combination of water puppetry and dry puppetry.
The play's scriptwriter is Pham Xuan Hieu, director - editor: People's Artist Nguyen Tien Dung; assistant director: Meritorious Artist Do The Ban; art director: Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, with the participation of artists and actors of the Puppetry Art Troupe (Hai Phong Traditional Theater).

In addition to the Gold Medal, the play “Green Frog Dream” also brought home 2 individual gold medals including: the role of Green Frog (performed by Meritorious Artist Tuyet Lan and artists: Minh Hoa, Kim Tien, Minh Thu, Hoang Duong, Quang Vu, Duong Dung); the role of Cu Toad (artists: Duc Thanh, Tran Cuong) and 3 individual silver medals and an award for the creative component.
This is a testament to the creative spirit, perseverance and persistent efforts of the Hai Phong Traditional Theater collective in the journey of preserving and renewing traditional Vietnamese theater forms.

This year's festival takes place from November 15 to 30, 2025 in 4 provinces and cities: Hanoi , Ninh Binh, Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong; bringing together nearly 1,000 artists with 29 plays by nearly 30 domestic and international art units.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee honored two excellent plays, including: "What night is tonight" (Shandong, China) and "The man in rubber sandals" (Vietnam Drama Theater).
Along with the play "Green Frog Dream", there are 5 plays that won gold medals: "Universe" (Mongolia), "Pipa Ji" (Zhejiang - China), "Beneath the moon" (Hong Van Stage), "Hung-backed carrying old men" (Ninh Binh) and "Tam Cam" (Thang Long Puppet Theatre).
