Nghe An contributes comments to the draft charter of Vietnam Trade Union

On the afternoon of December 1, the Provincial Federation of Labor held a workshop to contribute ideas to the draft Charter of Vietnam Trade Union (amended and supplemented).

The draft Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union submitted to the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union for the 2026-2031 term has amended and supplemented the remaining inappropriate and problematic contents, and added new contents due to practical requirements.

Specifically, changing the name of the Trade Union's leadership body; Adding Article 39 on inspection, auditing and supervision of trade union finances and assets, ensuring consistency with the Trade Union Law 2024; Clarifying regulations on trade union inspection committees at all levels; Proposed amendments to the executive committee, standing committee, and regulations on unified meeting periods in Article 15; Comments on the conditions for establishing grassroots trade unions, types of trade union organizations, adding separate chapters on special trade unions, trade unions of public service units, trade unions of departments and specialized trade union units; Proposing to amend the union dues payment level to 0.5% of salary; amending regulations on trade union funds according to the new Trade Union Law...

Accordingly, the comments are based on the principle of timeliness, concretizing new regulations of the Party and relevant laws of the State to supplement the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union. At the same time, ensuring the principles of organization and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union, in accordance with the workers' movement and international trade union activities, in accordance with international conventions and treaties on labor and trade unions that Vietnam has signed.

The workshop recorded 12 comments on many important and practical contents related to the subjects of the gathering, union fees, regulations on union membership cards, rights and responsibilities of union officials, union members' rights compared to the contribution level, the number of inspection committees, and the classification of commune and ward unions...

Concluding the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation affirmed that this amendment is comprehensive, necessary and meets the requirements of the new situation and acknowledged the enthusiastic and responsible comments of the delegates. From now until the Congress, the grassroots, commune and ward trade unions will continue to research and contribute comments, and comments will continue to be supplemented, creating an important foundation for trade union activities in the coming time. Comments will be compiled, studied, absorbed and completed to present at the Nghe An Provincial Trade Union Congress.
