Previously, during the production process, some people in Ba Tu and Phuong An villages, Trieu Co commune discovered some artillery shells left over from the war and reported to the authorities. Immediately after receiving the report, Trieu Co commune police coordinated with the commune Military Command to conduct an inspection and advised the commune People's Committee to demarcate the area and install warning signs to ensure people's safety while waiting for the specialized force in charge of bomb and mine handling.
On the morning of December 1, MAG arrived at the scene. Through inspection, the unit determined that these were two 130mm (high explosive) and 105mm artillery shells. On the same day, the functional forces moved these two artillery shells to a centralized area and safely handled and destroyed them.
