Why should we be afraid of dishonest and 'rip-off' traders?

Since it is rare to have the opportunity to travel here and there, most customers tend to be more lenient. Many customers easily ignore having to buy expensive goods.

The easy-going nature of customers is taken advantage of. Those who are in the business of "rip-offs" feel no shame. One place can charge high prices, and other places can do the same. Eventually, wherever you travel, you are afraid of overpaying, afraid of stopping at a place where you will be "ripped off".

Many people who do business in tourism-related areas have the mentality of "living it up", wanting to make the most profit as quickly as possible, regardless of everything. Dealing with "rip-offs" requires coordination between local authorities, grassroots authorities, buyers and sellers. First of all, local authorities need to regularly inspect and grasp the situation in the area.

Business people who see the "presence" of the authorities must also change, do business honestly, provide services at the right price. This presence can be a channel to receive information from tourists and the authorities will thoroughly handle it without mercy. This creates a sense of security, comfort and enjoyment when shopping.

Tourists should not have the mentality of going out once in a while and pretending to be "luxury" shoppers to show off their fake generosity. Many people have been "ripped off" just because they "showed off" and did not check the price before shopping, but because they were with friends at the time, they had to let it go.

When we travel somewhere or use a service, we should have the same mentality as we do every day. Be bold in asking for prices and bargaining (appropriately) to help cure the "rip-off" disease from unethical traders.
