"NIC has supported hundreds of innovative startups, small and medium enterprises to improve the quality of human resources, develop policies in the field of innovation, and build an innovation ecosystem that brings together many participating elements, including institutes, scientists , and innovative enterprises," said Ms. Ngoc.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc affirmed: The Ministry of Planning and Investment hopes that the 5th anniversary of NIC will be an opportunity to continue to strongly spread the aspiration and determination for innovation to the business community and people, thereby arousing the creative potential, will and aspiration for innovation to help Vietnam make a breakthrough, achieving the goal of rapid and sustainable development in the coming period.

NIC was established on October 2, 2019 under Decision No. 1269/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister with the function of supporting and developing the Vietnamese innovation ecosystem, contributing to the innovation of the growth model based on science and technology development.

According to Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, the establishment of NIC demonstrates the Government's strong determination to make innovation one of Vietnam's growth drivers in the new era.

After 5 years of establishment, the Center has gradually affirmed its role as a national focal point for innovation, a leading unit connecting a complete innovation ecosystem for Vietnam. NIC has built policies in innovation to support small and medium enterprises, completed the infrastructure of operating facilities; built mechanisms and preferential policies for innovation; developed a Vietnamese innovation ecosystem with full participation of all stakeholders; supported enterprises in accessing resources; participated in developing high-quality human resources in Vietnam...

According to Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of NIC, after 5 years of operation, the Center has many programs to support start-ups. In addition to the working space, the Center also has training programs in coordination with major partners such as: Google, Meta...
