It is known that this market previously invested 15 billion VND, with the purpose of purchasing agricultural products to help farmers in Gia Tien, Gia Thang, Gia Phuong, Gia Tan communes... (Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province).
The market was built in 2015, the project investor is Gia Vien District People's Committee. In 2016, the market was completed, the project also aimed to celebrate Gia Tien commune achieving new rural standards.

The entire market complex is spacious with a 2-storey administration building, many functional rooms, a market pavilion of thousands of square meters and rows of kiosks... but since then, the market has been abandoned and overgrown with weeds.
To "revive" the market, in early November 2024, Gia Vien district (Ninh Binh province) decided to pour in an additional 1.4 billion VND, assigning the People's Committee of Gia Tien commune (now Tien Thang commune) to set up a repair project and have a plan to move the local temporary market here to operate.
