After the merger, An Giang has 114,891 union members.

On August 25, delegates who are Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of wards, and Chairmen of Trade Unions of wards in An Giang province (old); Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and accountants of grassroots trade unions and trade unions with 50 or more union members under the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (old) attended the 2025 Trade Union Training Conference.

After the merger, the whole An Giang province has 124,317 workers, civil servants, and laborers; of which 114,891 are union members. The whole province has 823 grassroots unions and trade unions. The Provincial Labor Federation has established 1 ward union (Rach Gia ward) and 1 special zone union (Phu Quoc Special Zone).

An Giang Provincial Labor Federation continues to implement the targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the key work program for the last 6 months of 2025; organize many propaganda and education activities, take care of the material and spiritual life of cadres, union members, and workers...

However, the grassroots trade union organizations are currently scattered throughout the province, the number of union members in some places is still small, and the source of funding for trade union activities is limited...

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, Head of the An Giang Provincial Trade Union Working Committee Nguyen Nhat Tien emphasized that current difficulties require Trade Union officials to have solid knowledge, skills, creativity and flexibility to successfully complete assigned tasks.

At the conference, the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor deployed directives and instructions from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Federation of Labor on trade union organization, financial work, etc.; answered and resolved difficulties and problems of grassroots trade unions in trade union activities after the merger.
