Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Association, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan - Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial Red Cross Association, along with representatives of the Provincial Border Guard Command, Tan Thanh Border Guard Station, Red Cross Associations of districts and Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province and many local people.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented a Red Cross house worth 50 million VND to a poor fishing household in extremely difficult circumstances. At the same time, livelihood support was given to 2 fishing households in difficult circumstances at the rate of 5 million VND/household to help them have conditions to develop the economy and improve their lives. On this occasion, 20 gifts were sent to poor and disadvantaged fishing households, contributing to sharing some of the hardships of daily life. The total value of the gifts this time was 70 million VND.

The leaders of the Red Cross Associations of the two provinces expressed their hope that the gifts, although not large, would be a source of spiritual encouragement for the people to be more confident and continue to overcome difficulties to stick to the sea. In addition, the program also gave gifts to officers and soldiers of Tan Thanh Border Guard Station - those who are protecting sovereignty and supporting people in coastal areas day and night.

The program "Safety for poor and disadvantaged fishermen" is not only a volunteer activity, demonstrating the spirit of humanity and mutual love, towards the poor fishing community facing many difficulties in life, but also a bridge of affection between the two provinces, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, sharing and together building a strong and humane coastal border community.
