SeABank launches SeARun 2024 community-oriented running event.

The annual community running event “ SeABank Run For The Future 2024” (SeARun 2024), organized by Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, stock code SSB), will take place from November 8th to November 30th, 2024, on the online platform via the UpRace application.

Beyond being a platform for physical training, SeARun 2024 also aims to benefit the community by planting 68,000 trees and awarding 10 lifelong scholarships to underprivileged but studious high school students, with a total estimated cost of nearly 1.7 billion VND.

Organized annually since 2018, SeABank's "SeABank Run For The Future" community race has attracted the attention and participation of 150,000 athletes, including employees, partners, and customers nationwide, covering over 6.1 million km through both in-person and online races. Building on this success, SeARun 2024 will take place over 23 days (from November 8th to November 30th, 2024) in an online format on the UpRace application, under the name SeARun 2024: Beyond Limit - Be a Legend.

Through this race, SeABank aims to provide a beneficial sporting event, helping people improve their fitness and connect those who share a passion for running. In particular, the race also carries a profound humanitarian meaning: "For the Community" - one of the Bank's five core values, contributing to connecting customers and the community to jointly protect the environment, support underprivileged children with academic achievements, and strive towards positive values ​​in life.

As a non-profit running event, for every kilometer run by eligible participants, 1,000 VND will be donated by SeABank to the SeAGreen environmental charity fund to plant over 68,000 trees and provide lifelong scholarships for 10 underprivileged students through the "Nurturing Dreams" Fund. The total amount is expected to be nearly 1.7 billion VND.

A new feature of this year's race is the addition of a small group feature within the main team. Specifically, after athletes register for the event and choose a main team to participate in, members of that team can then form smaller groups and compete against each other. This creates competition among the smaller groups, boosting the main team's performance.

Additionally, this season will have separate divisions for semi-professional and amateur runners (semi-professional runners will be in the SeAPro – Runner division).

Notably, the organizers also divided the competition into 5 completion levels corresponding to the titles and kilometers achieved by each athlete: FIGHTER (>50km), WARRIOR (>100km), HERO (>200km), SUPER (>300km), ANGEL (>400km), and LEGEND (>500km), with corresponding certificates awarded upon completion. In particular, athletes will receive double points on Sundays during the program and on Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 2024).

This year's prize structure is extremely attractive, with a total value of nearly 150 million VND for the following categories: Team Prize in the Pro-Runner category for the Top 3 semi-professional teams with the highest total eligible achievements; Individual Prize in the Pro-Runner category for the Top 20 semi-professional athletes with the highest eligible achievements; Team Prize in the amateur category for the Top 6 teams with the highest total eligible achievements; Individual Prize for the Top 20 amateur athletes with the highest eligible achievements.

Here's how to participate in the SeABank Run For The Future 2024 and join hands in meaningful social activities:

Step 1: Athletes download the UpRace app on their mobile phones or access the website: https://uprace.vn and register an account. Athletes who already have an UpRace account can log in to their existing account.

Step 2: After successfully registering an account, athletes can participate in the event by clicking the "Join" button on the SeARun 2024 [SS2]: Beyond Limit – Be a Legend event in the "Community" > "Events" section of the application.

Step 3: The athlete clicks to create a new group or join a team of their choice.

- Each athlete's account can only select one team to compete in the event.

- Within each team, athletes can create their own groups/smaller teams to compete within the same larger team.

- Athletes are not allowed to change teams from the start of the event at 00:00 on November 8, 2024.

- Athletes who do not register for the event from 00:00 on November 17, 2024, are not eligible.
