Hai Phong Department of Education and Training strengthens training in applying artificial intelligence in teaching and learning activities.

The training conference was organized with one session for junior high school level and one session for high school level, conducted online, connecting a central hub at the Department of Education and Training with nearly 600 other locations at educational institutions throughout the city. Participants included representatives from the Department of Education and Training, leaders and specialists from the Secondary Education Division, along with representatives and all teachers from junior high schools, high schools, and multi-level schools.

This activity is spearheaded by the Secondary Education Department of the Department of Education and Training to implementand concretizethe secondary education tasks for the 2025-2026 school year. The Ministry of Education and Training's guidelines on implementing the digital competency framework highlight the significant implications of integrating AI into education, contributing to improved efficiency and personalization in learning. AI can help teachers analyze student learning data to create appropriate learning pathways, deliver interactive lessons, and support more effective self-learning for students. This is a crucial step in building a modern learning environment that meets the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Theapplication of technology, especially AI, in teaching and educational management is an inevitable trend, contributing to improved quality and meeting the requirements for developing high-quality human resources. .

At the training conference, the presenters focused on two main topics: the application of AI in teaching and assessment, and skills in designing e-learning lessons . This equippedteachers with the necessary knowledge and skills to leverage technology and improve the quality of teaching.

In her opening remarks at the training conference, Ms. Pham Thi Thu Ha, Head of the Secondary Education Department, affirmed that this was an opportunity for teachers to acquire knowledge, familiarize themselves with modern tools, and exchange and learn from each other to overcome difficulties in applying technology to teaching. These are strategically important contents in reforming teaching methods, contributing to improving educational effectiveness in the digital transformation era . The Department of Education and Training will always create favorable conditions for teachers to develop their abilities, contributing to building a stronger and more modern education system in the city, meeting the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive reform.

Following the training session,the Department of Education and Training requested schools to actively organize training, self- improvement, and research materials for teachers to develop high-quality e-learning lessons that effectively support students' self-study and research. These lessons must adhere to the teaching plan, ensuring accuracy, scientific rigor , and suitability for the target student group. Lessons must clearly state learning objectives, include a system of questions, exercises, learning scenarios, a summary, and self-study guidance. Technically, the lessons should be built on a lesson management platform. E-learning must incorporate multimedia (text, images, audio, video ) and increase interactivity. The Department of Education and Training will organize evaluations and rankings of lectures to assess the effectiveness of digital transformation in teaching and learning.

Training on the application of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning is a strategic step, affirming the determination to enhance the digital capabilities of teachers, aiming towards a stronger and more modern education system in Hai Phong.
