Hai Phong city leaders attended and shared the opening ceremony in many localities.

This morning, students from all over Hai Phong city eagerly went to school to start the new school year. City leaders attended and celebrated with teachers and students at many educational institutions.

Comrade Le Tien Chau, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City, along with other city leaders, attended the opening ceremony of the new school year at Mac Dinh Chi High School (Hung Dao Ward).

On the morning of September 5th, more than 1,600 educational institutions in 114 communes, wards, special zones, and many universities across the city simultaneously held opening ceremonies for the 2025-2026 academic year.

This year's opening ceremony coincides with the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education; it was uniformly organized by the city's education and training sector, creating a vibrant atmosphere of competition to enter the new school year with the determination to successfully complete the tasks of the school year, and to continue affirming its position as one of the leading localities nationwide in terms of educational quality.

The 2025-2026 school year is the first school year in Hai Phong after the merger. The entire city has more than 1 million students from preschool to high school, continuing education, etc., with more than 67,000 administrators, teachers, and staff. City leaders visited to present flowers and gifts to congratulate and celebrate with the schools.

From 8:00 to 9:30, all educational institutions in the city will hold their opening ceremonies online, with the National Convention Center as the main hub, or via VTV1 television channel.
