In the list of more than 50 animated films shown for free at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ), within the framework of the National Achievement Exhibition with the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", the series of revolutionary historical films became an attractive highlight.

Films such as “The Dien Bien Cart”, “The Boy Who Kept the Party Flag”, “The Story of Independence Day”, “The Reunification Train”, “The Little Girl Hien Luong”, “The Soldier’s Memento”, “The Little Boy”… continuously attract audiences, especially children. Many screenings were packed, with thunderous applause at the end of each film, demonstrating the encouraging spread of this genre of film.
In particular, the film “Stories of Independence Day” has become a “highlight” on this occasion. Through the story between a grandfather and grandson during a visit to the streets of Hanoi, through historical sites, the film recreates the General Uprising on August 19 and the sacred moments on September 2, when Uncle Ho read the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Through that, the film evokes national pride, love for the homeland and country passed down from ancestors to today’s young generations.

Also causing much emotion, the film "The Reunification Train" recreates the heroic historical milestones of his father in the long resistance war to gain independence and unify the country.
In particular, while audiences over 13 years old were able to go to the cinema to enjoy the movie "Red Rain" to understand the sacrifice of his father in the 81-day and night battle to protect Quang Tri Citadel , audiences of Vietnamese animation learned about Quang Tri through a different story.

The film “Em bé Hien Luong” is a story about two young friends separated by the military demarcation line of the Ben Hai River, the 17th parallel. After 21 years, the two friends have grown up, together with the people of the whole country, they fought together, they met again on the day the country was reunified, North and South reunited.
The film touched the children with its gentle, profound emotions, about the pain of a divided country, family, relatives, and friends being separated. Through the film, the children are more deeply imbued with the happiness of peace and unity, and appreciate this beautiful life more.
The special screening of the series of revolutionary historical animations will last until September 15. This is an opportunity for young audiences to enjoy meaningful works, thereby nurturing a love of history and national pride in today's young generation.
