Responding to Dan Tri reporters on the afternoon of October 15, a representative of Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that the bipedal robot has mechanical parts legally imported from the Precision Mechanical Engineering Research Joint Stock Company (RPMEC), a part of the enterprise system under Hanoi University of Science and Technology for the purpose of development, training, research and transfer.
On that basis, the research team led by lecturers from Hanoi University of Science and Technology has developed new control algorithms, giving robots new features, with specific results such as: Improving stability when moving on complex terrain; increasing the ability to adapt to changing heights; developing algorithms to help robots climb curved stairs.
In training, the research team has built software and professional documents to help lecturers and students directly program, integrate AI and control motion. Information about bipedal robots was introduced at the exhibition area.

The bipedal robot with foreign labels was replaced by the logo of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Photo: Manh Quan).
Regarding the report that Hanoi University of Science and Technology pasted paper stamps with the school’s logo over those of foreign manufacturers, the school said that the robots were displayed in the area introducing the learning, practice and research and development conditions of lecturers and students. This area has the participation of many different agencies and training units.
In long-term exhibition conditions, with a large number of visitors, many units mark artifacts for easy management and preservation.
Therefore, the exhibition department of Hanoi University of Science and Technology uses paper stamps with the school's logo on all artifacts, including the bipedal robot, for management and preservation.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that sticking paper stamps on products was a "mistake" (Photo: Manh Quan).
“It was an oversight to stick the school’s paper stamp on the bipedal robot in place of the product’s logo. Although there was a leaflet introducing the robot’s features at the exhibition area, the use of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology logo paper stamp to mark the preservation has caused some visitors to misunderstand, which is unfortunate.
The school sincerely thanks readers for their attention and comments and will seriously absorb and learn from their experiences for similar events," said a representative of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
According to the school, upon receiving the feedback, the leadership of Hanoi University of Science and Technology immediately directed, reviewed, and requested relevant individuals and departments to seriously explain the feedback.
Representatives of the research team and relevant departments have properly performed their accountability responsibilities and provided full information when requested.
The leaders of Hanoi University of Science and Technology have severely criticized the relevant departments for the above mentioned negligence. Hanoi University of Science and Technology has also reported the incident to the competent authorities.

Visitors to the A80 exhibition were delighted with the two-legged robot brought by Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Photo: Manh Quan).
According to readers' feedback sent to Dan Tri, during the National Achievement Exhibition "80 Years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day September 2, Hanoi University of Science and Technology displayed a bipedal robot of unknown origin at the booth of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).
Specifically, at the booth of the Ministry of Education and Training , the two-legged robot model on display had the logo and label of the foreign manufacturer completely covered, replaced by the logo of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
The complainant said that pasting such logos will cause confusion about the origin of the product.
