Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Director of Bach Mai Hospital, said that in recent years, the quality of patient care has made remarkable progress. The nursing team is the “hands and heart” of the hospital.
The nursing team has proactively increased patient monitoring, standardized care processes, promoted health education , applied information technology in recording and reporting, and closely coordinated with doctors and patients' families, thereby significantly improving treatment effectiveness, shortening hospital stays, and increasing patient safety and satisfaction.
According to Associate Professor Co, to prepare for the operation of the second facility in Ninh Binh , the hospital's nursing staff has participated in training, coaching, standardizing operating procedures, infection control, safe care and equipment management...
"We have prepared thoroughly from human resources to expertise, from infrastructure to information technology. Nursing at the second facility will certainly be the pioneer force demonstrating Bach Mai's class in a modern, professional environment and aiming at international standards," Associate Professor Co said.

In particular, the Director of Bach Mai Hospital emphasized that communication and behavior is one of the top criteria for evaluating hospital quality. In 2025, the hospital has strongly implemented innovation in service style and attitude, enhanced communication skills, and patients are increasingly satisfied with the care of doctors and nurses.
However, Associate Professor Co also frankly pointed out that there are still situations of communication that are not really tactful, gentle, irritable during rush hours, lack of clear explanations for patients and need to continue to be strongly corrected.
According to Associate Professor Co, in 2026, the nursing force will continue to play a key role in the hospital's strategic tasks; continue to improve the quality of care, focus all resources to effectively implement the second facility's activities, promote digital transformation, improve quality, scientific research, continuous training and international integration.
"The nursing team needs to continue to promote the spirit of innovation, proactively approach new techniques, enhance communication - counseling - health education skills, promote comprehensive care models, personalized care, and actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Every nurse should see themselves not only as a technician but also as a companion to the patient, a protector of safety, and a person spreading compassion and trust," Associate Professor Co advised.
