Thus, specialized students who take the TSA thinking assessment exam organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology will have an additional competitive advantage.
The 3 groups of admission methods that Hanoi University of Science and Technology will use to enroll university students in 2026 include: talent selection, selection based on TSA thinking assessment scores, and selection based on 2026 high school graduation exam scores.
In which, the group of talented students has 3 methods: direct admission of excellent students according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; admission based on international certificates; admission based on capacity records combined with interviews.
Regarding the admission method based on competency profile combined with interview, this year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology added the TSA thinking score factor. The subjects that can submit application are specialized students (including math, physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, foreign languages) with TSA thinking assessment scores in 2025 or 2026.
The candidate's profile score (maximum 100 points) includes thinking score, achievement score, and bonus score. In which, thinking score is calculated according to the formula TSA x 40/60 (maximum 40 points). Achievement score (maximum 50 points) is calculated based on the total score of valid achievements that the candidate has achieved and declared on the system.
Bonus points (maximum 10 points) are calculated for other achievements in study and scientific research that are not included in the achievement score; foreign language certificates; awards in culture, arts, physical education and sports (awards in literature - sports - fine arts); awards for social activities and volunteering for the community that candidates have validly declared on the system.
It is known that the total enrollment target for 2026 of Hanoi University of Science and Technology is expected to be 9,880 students.
