In Ho Chi Minh City, currently, units such as Tran Huu Trang, Hat Boi Art, Phuong Nam Art, Bong Sen National Folk Music and Dance (public sector); Chi Linh - Van Ha, Vu Luan, Huynh Long, Minh To, Le Nguyen Truong Giang, Thien Long… (socialized sector) have all invested in and are operating digital technology .

Artist Binh Tinh, head of the Huynh Long troupe, said: "Simply improving the quality of performances and regularly presenting new plays is not enough; we also need to boost communication activities on social media platforms. Artists must regularly promote their work on their personal pages, and the troupe has also created its own YouTube channel to promptly introduce new plays and implement online ticket sales."

Almost all traditional theaters in Ho Chi Minh City now have Fanpages, using them as official information channels with content updated quickly and in a way that is close to the public. Meritorious Artist Phan Quoc Kiet, Director of Tran Huu Trang Theater, expressed: "Through the Fanpage, the theater can promptly adjust the content of performances based on interactions and feedback from the audience. This digital technology solution also helps save significantly on the cost of printing advertising flyers; audiences are also more proactive and convenient in choosing performances."

"Furthermore, we also combine minimalist stage design with modern Visual LED technology, blending visual art with performance art on the Cai Luong stage, bringing new experiences to the audience. These technological applications have received much positive feedback from the audience," said Meritorious Artist Phan Quoc Kiet enthusiastically.

Meritorious Artist Chí Linh proudly shared that his theater regularly livestreams on its fanpage, introducing new plays and special offers for ticket buyers; tickets can be purchased online, and tickets can be verified by scanning a QR code.

According to insiders, besides the aforementioned advantages, there are still limitations that need to be improved soon, such as shortening the performance duration to make it more suitable. Many viewers believe that their viewing habits for traditional Vietnamese opera or spoken drama have changed compared to the past, and having to sit through a performance lasting over four hours is too exhausting. Furthermore, online advertisements promote "engaging content," but the reality is quite different. This "advertising one thing, performing another" situation disappoints many viewers.
