Own a ChatGPT account in Vietnam in just 6 simple steps

ChatGPT has been a "fever" in the Internet community for a long time, but this service previously had limited registration to countries, causing many Vietnamese people eager to experience it to have to use tricks to create accounts.

In early November, OpenAI - the company that created ChatGPT - opened this service in Vietnam, allowing domestic users to register for the service using phone numbers from domestic carriers to use it completely free of charge.

In addition, a paid version of ChatGPT with more features and intelligence is also available when users pay with payment cards issued by domestic banks.

For ordinary users, free ChatGPT can completely meet daily usage needs, serving the experience and looking up reference information.

To register for a free account, users need to declare and verify their personal phone number and follow the steps below:

ChatGPT register with Vietnamese phone number

Step 1 : Visit ChatGPT's official website at https://chat.openai.com/auth/login, click the Sign Up button to create a new account.

Step 2 : Fill in your email address in the blank box and click Continue or choose to register with an existing Microsoft, Google or Apple account.

Users can use their email as the login name in the account and use a new password (no need to match the email password) to register ChatGPT in the next step and then click Continue.

Select one of the accounts to register for ChatGPT.

Step 3 : ChatGPT will send an email to the address registered in Step 2, the user clicks on the link in the email to verify the account and email.

Step 4 : After clicking the link, the system will open a new website. Here, the user declares information such as Last name, First name, Date/month/year of birth. Then click Continue.

Step 5 : ChatGPT requires declaring the phone number currently in use in Vietnam. Here, the user needs to select the image of the Vietnamese flag so that the system can automatically receive the area code +84, then enter the phone number (can omit the 0 at the beginning of the mobile number) and then click Send code via SMS (Send activation code via SMS).

Step 6 : After receiving the SMS containing the activation code, fill in the authentication declaration box. At the end of this step, the user's account has been confirmed, activated and ready to use.

ChatGPT can understand and communicate in Vietnamese as well as many other languages. Users can ask questions to request this artificial intelligence to answer. However, it should be noted that the AI's response content is for reference only and may be inaccurate and lack evidence.

With a free account, users will experience the GPT-3.5 language model, the database is updated until early 2022 (according to ChatGPT's response), so data after January 2022 may be missing or incorrect. To upgrade to GPT-4.0, users will have to pay a Plus subscription of $20/month.
