Summary of 2 years of implementing the coordination plan between the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee and the Social Policy Bank Branch of Dong Thap Province

On the afternoon of May 27, 2025, at the Hall of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), the unions and associations of Dong Thap province, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province coordinated with the Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) of Dong Thap province to organize a conference to review 2 years of implementing the coordination plan between the two agencies.

Member of the Provincial Standing Committee/Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dinh Van Dung and Deputy Director of the Provincial Bank for Social Policies Branch Tran Dang Nhien chaired the conference, with the participation of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, specialized departments of the Provincial Bank for Social Policies Branch, representatives of leaders of socio- political organizations of the Province and representatives of leaders of the People's Committee, Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and Transaction Offices of the Bank for Social Policies of districts and cities.

After the plan was issued, the two units disseminated the content to all cadres, civil servants and public employees in the system, in order to ensure full awareness of the objectives, requirements and implementation content; assign specific tasks, proactively develop detailed plans, clearly identify progress and resources for implementation. The propaganda was carried out in various forms on mass media, combining the effective promotion of the website and Zalo channel of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations at all levels, promoting the role of the Front Working Committee, branches, associations, and local governance models. The main content was to propagate and disseminate credit policies and social policies to the people, focusing on poor households and policy families; promoting the tradition of mutual love and solidarity to overcome difficulties in all social classes and each household; In particular, arousing the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement for 8,222 poor households, near-poor households, and people in difficult circumstances to have capital to proactively rise out of poverty; promoting the role of member organizations in coordinating and guiding union members, members and people to implement the National Target Program on Poverty Reduction according to the policies of the Party and the State; coordinating the implementation of the "For the Poor" Fund in residential communities, associated with the implementation of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" and other campaigns chaired by the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Thereby, mobilizing contributions to build the Fund, creating resources to share the burden of difficulties with poor households, near-poor households, and households in particular difficulties.

After 2 years of implementing the plan (2023 - 2024 period), positive results have been achieved: Propaganda on the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", the peak month "For the poor" to call on organizations and individuals to increase resources to support the poor and supplement capital for the VBSP to implement social policy credit programs, by April 30, 2025, the total policy credit capital reached 6,379,703 million VND, an increase of 5,955,885 million VND compared to the beginning of 2022; there are 18 effective models, good practices in supporting the poor to rise out of poverty sustainably, ensuring social security from the capital of the VBSP and the "For the poor" Fund; Coordinate to review poor households, near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries, creating conditions to receive loans from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.

At the conference, delegates exchanged and shared good experiences and effective methods in the implementation process, and proposed solutions to continue promoting effective models in mobilizing resources for the Provincial "For the Poor" Fund and supplementing capital for the Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch to implement social policy credit programs, contributing to the goal of sustainable poverty reduction , new rural construction and ensuring social security in the locality.

The above results reflect the participation of the two agencies with a high sense of responsibility in implementing and propagating the implementation of policy credit programs; the synchronous and close coordination with relevant agencies has brought practical benefits to social policy credit activities, consolidating and improving credit quality, quality of loan entrustment activities; timely support for the poor in terms of capital sources for livelihood creation, essential auxiliary works, etc. in the lives of the poor, actively contributing to the implementation of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province; along with regular inspection, supervision and social criticism, thereby gradually perfecting the mechanism and policies to bring policy credit policies closer to the people, creating consensus and trust of the people in the Party and the State.
