(Baoquangngai.vn) - On the morning of April 21, the Department of Home Affairs organized a delegation to visit and congratulate prominent Buddhist dignitaries on the occasion of the 2568th Buddha's Birthday. Accompanying them were Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Bui Duc Tho and representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission.

The delegation visited and congratulated Most Venerable Thich Thong Hoi - Member of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province, at Tu Quang Pagoda, Tran Phu Ward ( Quang Ngai City) and Most Venerable Thich Thong Huy - Member of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province, at Linh Quang Pagoda, Nghia Hoa Commune (Tu Nghia).

At the places visited, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Thai Hiep sent congratulations to Most Venerable Thich Thong Hoi, Most Venerable Thich Thong Huy, dignitaries, officials, monks, nuns, and Buddhists to celebrate a happy Buddha's birthday.

I hope that dignitaries, officials, monks, nuns and Buddhists will continue to promote the fine traditions of Buddhism; well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies; actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, and build the great national unity bloc.

The dignitaries thanked the Party committees and authorities for their attention to Buddhist activities in recent times. At the same time, they affirmed that all dignitaries, officials, monks, nuns and Buddhists will continue to promote the fine traditions of Buddhism, join hands to build the great national unity bloc, and contribute to the development of Quang Ngai.
