On the morning of April 9, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment held a dialogue to announce the results of the verification of the complaint of Ms. Phan Thi Huong (Trung Phuoc Town, Nong Son District) regarding Decision No. 2043/QD-UBND dated October 30, 2023 of the Chairman of Nong Son District People's Committee on administrative sanctions in the field of land.
In early 2023, Ms. Huong, while rebuilding her house, removed the brick wall between her house and plot 150 (state-managed land) and built a fence around part of plot 150 with an area of 97.5 square meters to expand the land area without permission from the state land management agency. This act was administratively sanctioned by the Chairman of the Nong Son District People's Committee in Decision No. 2043 dated October 30, 2023.
However, Ms. Huong did not agree with this decision because she had used it to grow perennial trees since 1987. The case was resolved by the Chairman of the Nong Son District People's Committee for the first time in Decision No. 2655 dated December 22, 2023, but Ms. Huong did not agree and continued to complain a second time.
Based on the results of the inspection and verification, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment concluded that the content of Ms. Phan Thi Huong's complaint regarding Decision No. 2043 dated October 30, 2023 of the Chairman of the Nong Son District People's Committee has no legal basis for consideration and acceptance of the complaint. Therefore, the resolution to reject Ms. Huong's complaint in Decision No. 2655 dated December 22, 2023 of the Chairman of the Nong Son District People's Committee on the initial settlement of the complaint against Ms. Phan Thi Huong is in accordance with the provisions of law.
