According to verification, the owner of the account "Vo Quoc" is chef Vo Quoc, full name Vo Dinh Quoc, 43 years old. Mr. Vo Dinh Quoc is a famous chef, invited to cook at many international banquets and invited by television stations to participate in culinary programs. Chef Vo Quoc is the founder of Vietnamese Delicious Magazine, has a culinary academy in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.
Regarding this issue, Mr. Nguyen Tan Phong - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association said that the Association has discussed with competent authorities and has sent an official dispatch requesting verification and handling of acts that insult the reputation of journalists and the journalism profession.
The Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association requests that competent authorities investigate and strictly handle the behavior of Facebook account owner Vo Quoc who insulted the press with unacceptable language.
Previously, on September 21, the Facebook social network account "Vo Quoc" (with a blue tick, owned by chef Vo Quoc), linked to the apology post of screenwriter Binh Bong Bot and included an insulting comment about the press.
By noon on September 22, Vo Quoc had deleted the posted content and corrected that the article was not written by him, but that his Facebook had been hacked. However, that correction continued to receive strong reactions. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications has compiled the information and reported to the Department of Press, the Department of Radio - Television and Electronic Information (under the Ministry of Information and Communications) for coordination in handling.
