On June 18, the Ha Tinh Department of Health sent a document to localities, medical facilities, businesses, pharmacies and pharmaceutical businesses in the province, requesting to strengthen inspection and handling of counterfeit drugs that have just been discovered.
According to the announcement, three products identified as counterfeit drugs include Su Tong Massage Oil (registration number V367-H12-10), Chanh Dai Rheumatism Oil (registration number V1624-H12-10) and Chanh Dai Rheumatism Oil (registration number V131-H12-10). All three products were manufactured by Chanh Dai Traditional Medicine Facility (address 295 Nguyen Trai, Ward 7, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City).
Ha Tinh Department of Health requests medical facilities, pharmacies and related agencies to widely notify staff, employees and people not to buy, sell or use the above products; at the same time, check and review the drug warehouse, if detected, promptly report to the authorities.
Localities are directed to inform drug businesses and people, and coordinate with functional forces to inspect, verify the origin, and strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate regulations. In case of detecting counterfeit drugs, they must be recalled and destroyed in accordance with legal procedures.
Ha Tinh Department of Health has set up a hotline to receive feedback and denunciations related to counterfeit drugs, smuggled drugs, and drugs of unknown origin in the area.
