Việt NamViệt Nam20/10/2023

(HG) - On Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20, flower shops on Nguyen Cong Tru, Nguyen Thai Hoc, and 3-2 streets in Vi Thanh city became bustling with a variety of vibrant flowers. According to flower shop owners, this year the imported flowers are of fairly consistent quality, large and beautiful, with diverse and eye-catching designs.

The demand for roses on October 20 is much higher than usual.

Ms. Ut Giang, owner of a flower shop on 3-2 Street, Vi Thanh City, said: "To have enough fresh flowers to serve customers' needs on October 20, the shop imported all kinds of fresh flowers 2-3 days in advance. Specifically, colored roses cost 10,000 VND/flower, red roses cost 12,000 VND/flower, lilies cost 35,000 VND/branch, baby flowers range from 25,000-30,000 VND/branch depending on size. This price is double the normal price, but the number of customers coming to buy and pre-order is still very large, just today my shop sold nearly 100 bouquets of flowers."

Compared to fresh flowers, this year wax flowers with diverse colors, flowers made of real money dominate at outdoor sales points. Each bouquet of real money, depending on the denomination of 2,000 VND to 500,000 VND, costs from over 150,000 VND to several million VND. In addition, wax flowers with prices from 200,000 VND to 1 million VND depending on the size are also popular with consumers. In general, the price of imported flowers and accessories used to wrap flowers this year increased by 10-15% compared to last year. The reason is that during the holidays, people's demand for flowers increases, so the selling price is somewhat higher than usual.

On the other hand, supermarkets and shopping malls also offer many promotional programs, with discounts of 10-30%, mainly on cosmetics, shampoo, shower gel, fashion items, jewelry, etc. to meet customers' needs on the occasion of October 20.
