Exciting cultural and sports activities at Thai Vi Temple Festival

Thai Vi Temple Festival is a traditional festival of local people held on the 14th and 15th of the third lunar month every year to commemorate the merits of the Tran kings and heroes who contributed to the country, especially King Tran Thai Tong, who had the merit of recruiting people to establish villages in Ninh Hai commune.

The historical and cultural relic of Thai Vi Temple is the place to worship the Tran Dynasty Kings, Saint Tran and the kind Queen Mother. To commemorate the Tran Kings who established the Vu Lam palace, the local people built Thai Vi Temple, called Thai Vi Tu, and it was ranked as a National Historical and Cultural Relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in 1994.

Thai Vi Temple Festival is the biggest festival of the year for Ninh Hai people. This is a special occasion for visitors to Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area to not only enjoy the beautiful natural scenery but also feel the sacred atmosphere of the ceremony and immerse themselves in the bustling, joyful atmosphere of the folk games in the festival.

This year, from early morning on April 22 (March 14 of the lunar calendar), people of Ninh Hai commune (Hoa Lu) and thousands of tourists from all over the country were bustling and excited with cultural and sports activities at the festival.

Immediately after the temple opening ceremony, at Tam Coc boat station area, exciting cultural and sports activities took place such as: boat racing, tug of war, chess, to tom diem, folk dance performances...

Cultural and sports activities at the festival are mostly folk activities and games, imbued with the traditional culture of the thousand-year-old ancient capital Hoa Lu, demonstrating the spirit of enthusiastic work, love for the homeland and country and pride in preserving, promoting and promoting the unique traditional cultural features of the locality to visitors from all over.

The activities were chaired by the unions of Ninh Hai commune: Farmers' Association, Women's Union, Veterans' Association, Youth Union with the participation of a large number of people in 5 villages and hamlets.
