Conviction event takes place |
On July 28, the Ho Chi Minh City Electronic Communications Association held a press conference to announce the Convivtion event with tens of thousands of participants, to be held next month. This is one of the large-scale programs, gathering many leaders of famous blockchain projects to share information and new technology development trends. Conviction 2025 will take place on August 9-10, at the Thiskyhall Convention Center, An Khanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
“With an expected scale of 30,000 participants, along with hundreds of scientific presentations from domestic and foreign experts, Conviction 2025 promises to be a knowledge forum, a golden opportunity to promote the digital economy , digital transformation of Ho Chi Minh City, and call for international investment.”, Mr. Nguyen Quy Hoa, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Communications and Electronics, announced the opening.

With the establishment of the Vietnam Blockchain and Digital Asset Association (VBA) or the Ho Chi Minh City Blockchain Association (HBA), and the participation of competent authorities, blockchain events in Vietnam have gradually flourished. Previously, programs and meetings in this field were often small and limited in number of attendees because there was no legal framework for digital assets.
According to the Conviction organizers, the event will be the place where many new technology products and initiatives will be launched by Vietnamese companies. Here, programs on education and attracting talent for new fields will be held.
In a short time, leaders of Binance and Bybit, the two largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, came to Vietnam to discuss the legal corridor and official testing opportunities. In addition to Conviction, GM Vietnam organized in Hanoi by SSDI Securities Company and Kyros Venture is also a prominent program.
At the launch of Conviction, Mr. Nguyen The Vinh, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Blockchain Association, said that with the newly available legal corridor, Vietnam is facing a golden opportunity to develop this field. As a person who makes products serving global users, Mr. Vinh hopes to bring developed platforms to domestic customers.
However, compared to the previous "uptrend" season, there are no bright representatives from Vietnam. In the period 2020-2022, blockchain startups such as Coin98 (now NinetyEight), Sky Mavis, Kyber Network created buzz, attracted investment capital, and were valued at billions of USD. Currently, only these names are leading the domestic blockchain sector. Therefore, major events open up opportunities for projects to attract international investors and reach global customers.
