A French citizen was shot while evacuating from Sudan , according to the Telegraph . The two sides in Sudan have blamed each other for the attack on the French embassy as it was leaving the capital, Khartoum.
France has not confirmed that its citizens were shot, but said on the morning of April 23 that it was evacuating diplomatic staff.
Meanwhile, Egypt said a member of its diplomatic mission in Sudan was also wounded by gunfire, but did not provide details.
A Qatari delegation heading to Port Sudan was also attacked and hijacked, Reuters reported.
