Suoi Tia, Tuyen Lam Lake, Cau Dat Tea Hill through the project 'S-shaped Road in Me'

The project to promote tourism through fashion called The S-shaped road in me received a lot of time and determination from makeup artist Pio Doan.

He collaborated with designers and photographer Luu Khuc (Phung Trong Tin) to take fashion photos at famous landmarks and traditional craft villages across the country.

Promoting tourism through fashion

Makeup artist Pio Doan told Tuoi Tre Online about the project's goal: "Through fashion photoshoots, I want to promote and preserve national cultural identity, bringing the image of Vietnam to the world .

At the same time, develop tourism and challenge yourself on the path of artistic creation".

The first two designers to join the project are designers Vo Viet Chung and Hoang Minh Ha.

From the latest designs, Pio Doan came up with ideas and chose suitable locations to take promotional photos.

“For the purpose of developing tourism, I always hope to cooperate with like-minded designers in the future.

Regarding the criteria for choosing promotional locations, we choose a setting that matches the designers' costumes, creating harmony between nature and people, places where tourism is developed or not yet developed" - Pio Doan informed.

New perspective on the beautiful scenery of Dalat

Accompanying me in the S-shaped Road project in Lam Dong, the first destination of the project, is Miss Ocean 2023 Thu Uyen.

Here, the crew took photos at Tia stream, Tuyen Lam lake, Cau Dat tea hill (Da Lat city) and at a waterfall in Duc Trong.

What made it difficult for Pio Doan and his crew was the erratic weather. To take beautiful pictures at Tia stream, the crew had to wake up at 3am, and arrive at 5:30am to take pictures of the mist that was likened to a Vietnamese fairyland.

A photo collection of more than 30 photos, including designs by designers Vo Viet Chung and Hoang Minh Ha.

Vo Viet Chung's designs are inspired by the modernized ao yem with motifs and accessories of the northern highland people.

Hoang Minh Ha's designs bring youthfulness and joy.

The common point of these designs is the contrast but harmony between traditional and modern elements.

Pio Doan revealed that after taking the photo series in Lam Dong, he and his crew plan to promote traditional craft villages and scenic spots in Vinh Long.

Pio Doan's real name is Doan Anh Tuan. He was born in 1994 and is currently living in Dong Nai.

He has been working as a makeup artist for over 10 years. Although his mother guided him in this job, he likes it because it gives him many opportunities to meet artists and gain experience.
