Introduction: The buffalo and cow straw making festival is one of the three traditional festivals of Dai Dong commune, which was recently included in the list of national intangible cultural heritages in 2022. The festival is held annually to commemorate the great contributions of Dinh Thien Tich, the general who helped King Hung Huy Vuong (the 6th Hung King) to repel the invaders of An, teaching people to do hundreds of farming jobs, weaving, raising livestock, building houses, weaving, etc. The festival expresses the people's wishes for a new year of favorable weather, bountiful crops, a peaceful, prosperous and happy life; at the same time, it promotes the spirit of solidarity among the people, contributing to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland.
