Accident in Gia Lai: 3 dead people are members of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club

According to information from the authorities, the three people who died in the accident that occurred on the afternoon of August 12 on National Highway 14 through Chu Puh District, Gia Lai Province were all members of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club.

Specifically, the three people who died were: Assistant coach Duong Minh Ninh, striker Paollo and doctor Tri Dao.

After the final match of the 2023 V-League season between Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Song Lam Nghe An at Vinh Stadium (Group B, Phase II - V.League 2023), the entire team was given a break by the Coaching Board after a long season.

Assistant coach Duong Minh Ninh, striker Paollo and doctor Tri Dao returned to the headquarters so the club sent a car to pick them up.

On the way from Dak Lak to Gia Lai, when arriving at Phu Quang market, Ia Hru commune, Chu Puh district, an accident occurred, killing 3 people on the spot, the driver was seriously injured and was taken to the emergency room by the authorities.

The cause of the accident is currently being actively investigated by authorities.

Assistant coach Duong Minh Ninh is a striker for Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

He has been working at Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club since 2002.

During his time here, Mr. Duong Minh Ninh took on many important tasks in the team such as assistant to coach Guilaumme Graechen; member, assistant in the academy coaching staff; assistant coach Nguyen Quoc Tuan.

He was also chosen as coach of Hoang Anh Gia Lai when Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan resigned after a series of losses in the 2021 season.

And when Mr. Duc invited coach Kiatisuk to Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Mr. Duong Minh Ninh took on the position of assistant coach until now.

Striker Paollo Madeira Oliveira was born in 1996, is 1m89 tall and is of Portuguese nationality. Before playing for Hoang Anh Gia Lai, this striker played for Hong Linh Ha Tinh, played 23 matches in V.League and scored 8 goals, contributing significantly to Hong Linh Ha Tinh's successful relegation.

After the 2022 season, this player decided to join Hoang Anh Gia Lai in the 2023 season.

Although he has just arrived at the mountain town football team, Paollo has already left quite a strong impression in Hoang Anh Gia Lai's matches.
