On the afternoon of December 2, the People's Committee of Tam Dao district held a ceremony to announce and receive the international award "Tam Dao - The world's leading impressive destination town in 2022". This is an important tourism event in a series of investment promotion and tourism promotion activities in the last months of 2022, aiming to stimulate tourism and create conditions for tourists to come to Vinh Phuc in the context of reopening tourism under new normal conditions.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Le Duy Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Nguyen Trung Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vu Viet Van, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Huy Vinh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors of the province and Tam Dao district. Also attending the ceremony were Mr. John Singn, Chairman and founder of the Miss World Tourism Organization and contestants of the Miss World Tourism 2022 contest.

Tam Dao was discovered and built by the French in the early 19th century. By 1940, Tam Dao was a "city" on the high mountains with 145 buildings, luxury villas, splendid with many unique and harmonious architectural styles, with all kinds of entertainment. With a cool climate all year round, a place with a clear rotation of 4 seasons in a day, Tam Dao converges all types of tourism such as: history, culture, spirituality; adventure discovery tourism, ecology, resort, ...

Currently, Tam Dao tourist area has been planned to become a key tourist area of the province with many types of tourism such as resort, eco-tourism, adventure, research, conference, etc. Many new hotels, villas, restaurants have been built, along with many natural and wild tourist attractions that have been invested in to attract many domestic and foreign tourists.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Viet Van affirmed that the event of Tam Dao town being nominated for the first time and winning the category "World's Leading Impressive Destination Town 2022" by World Travel Awards - a leading prestigious organization in the world of tourism will help Tam Dao become globally famous and quickly explode in tourism in the near future.

This award also recognizes the initial success of the tourism service industry of Tam Dao district, enhancing the position and brand value of Tam Dao National Tourist Area, and making an important contribution to the growth of the tourism industry of Vinh Phuc province.

Through this event, he also requested that all levels, sectors of the province and local authorities proactively promote and encourage organizations and individuals to continue to do better in preserving and protecting the landscape and environment and developing green tourism so that Tam Dao town, after receiving the award, will always be at the forefront in service quality, ensuring a safe and civilized tourism environment, increasing investment attraction to build attractive tourism products and services, while focusing on promoting and advertising the brand of Tam Dao National Tourist Area in the context of international integration.
