According to information from Lang Son Provincial Police, the incident occurred at 1:20 p.m. on February 24, at Km 93+163 National Highway 1 in Ben Luong village (Minh Son commune, Huu Lung district, Lang Son province). A driver passed the checkpoint and drove straight into the police to avoid drug testing and alcohol concentration measurement.

At that time, the patrol and traffic control team of Tung Dien Traffic Police Station, Traffic Police Department of Lang Son Provincial Police was checking and handling the topic of alcohol and drug concentration in the direction of Lang Son - Hanoi according to the weekly work plan.

The working group discovered a white motorbike driven by a young man carrying another person with signs of alcohol concentration violation, so they signaled the vehicle to stop for inspection.

However, after the motorcyclist slowed down, he suddenly accelerated and hit the traffic police and mobile police to escape.

The incident caused a mobile police officer to be thrown into the air and fall to the ground, suffering a serious head injury.

Immediately after the incident, the working group promptly took the injured to the emergency room for treatment, and at the same time started searching for the driver who caused the incident.

At 8:40 p.m. the same day, the motorcyclist who caused the incident came to the Huu Lung District Police to present himself as Ngo Van Linh (born in 1998, in village 96, Hoa Lac commune, Huu Lung district, Lang Son province). The person sitting behind was Trieu Van Hoang (born in 1986, in Pha Lac, Chi Lang town, Chi Lang district, Lang Son province).

At the police station, after checking, the subject did not violate the alcohol concentration but tested positive for drugs.

The Investigation Police Agency of Huu Lung District Police decided to temporarily detain Ngo Van Linh for investigation and handling according to regulations.
