Storm No. 10 (Bualoi) and Storm No. 11 (Matmo) passed by, leaving behind "wounds" that have not yet healed in many provinces in the North and Central regions. While people in the flood-hit areas are still struggling to overcome the consequences, in Hung Yen , thousands of hearts are turning to their fellow countrymen with acts of love.

Sharing hearts
From storm No. 10 to the floods caused by storm No. 11 in the North Central and Northern provinces of our country have left serious consequences. Although there are no specific statistics, up to now, floods have caused dozens of deaths and missing people; hundreds of people injured, hundreds of thousands of houses had their roofs blown off, collapsed or were deeply submerged. The transportation system in many provinces was cut off, thousands of hectares of crops and aquatic products were washed away, making the lives of people in the storm-affected areas extremely difficult... Many communes were completely isolated during the days of rising floodwaters. People had no electricity, no clean water, and food reserves were gradually depleted. Some schools and medical stations were severely damaged, seriously affecting daily life and basic medical care.
In that context, the spirit of “mutual love and support” and “helping each other” was once again strongly aroused. At the solemn session of the 1st Congress of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, the leaders, former leaders of the Party, the State and the delegates attending the Congress donated to support and help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, stabilize their lives and restore production.

Along with that, at the congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, communes and wards launched a campaign to support people in flood-affected areas and received positive responses from all walks of life and philanthropists. Thousands of cadres, civil servants and public employees in the whole province voluntarily contributed a day's salary, necessities and essential items to support people affected by natural disasters, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and responsibility to the community.
“The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee earnestly calls on cadres, party members, armed forces, business community, agencies, units, organizations and all people in the province to promote the tradition of “mutual love and support”, “the rich help the poor”. Those who have money contribute money, those who have merit contribute; no matter how little or much, each contribution is a noble gesture, demonstrating deep humanity and compatriotism. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee affirm that they will receive, manage and use all support funds for the right purposes, publicly, transparently, and promptly transfer them to the affected people” - Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. |
Charity trips
Not only agencies and units, but also many associations, groups, clubs and individuals in the province have become "bridges of love", contributing to sharing difficulties with people in flood-affected areas. Trucks carrying relief goods from communes and wards in the province rolled through the night, to hot meals prepared by volunteer groups sent to people. All expressed a common heart of "sharing in times of trouble".

Mr. Pham Van Hai Truong, Chairman of Thien Tam Thai Binh Club, said: Faced with the heavy damage caused by storms No. 10 and 11, the club has launched and called on people everywhere to join hands and support people in flood-affected areas. On October 10, the club's delegation set off with 2.5 tons of vegetables, 2 tons of rice, 200 kg of pork, 5,000 eggs, 500 liters of fish sauce and cooking oil, and many other essential necessities. We will distribute the above food sources to kitchens to cook free meals to serve people and functional forces on duty. These practical actions not only help people in storm-affected areas stabilize their lives, but also spread the spirit of mutual love, affection, and humanity in the community.

In the communes of Khoai Chau, Trieu Viet Vuong and Van Giang, in a short time, teachers of Nguyen Thien Thuat Secondary School, Anh Duong Kindergarten and Tam Thien Van Giang group called on people to donate and support hundreds of barrels of filtered water, cooking oil, instant noodles and other necessities, directly transporting and handing them to people in deeply flooded areas in Thai Nguyen province.
Mr. Pham Duc Hanh, Headmaster of Nguyen Thien Thuat Secondary School, shared: Immediately after storm No. 11 made landfall, causing heavy damage, we quickly called for support and organized a truck to transport 2.5 tons of rice and necessities to the zero-dong kitchens, serving the people and the authorities. On October 9 and 10, a group of 22 people, including 6 teachers, directly transported hundreds of boxes of instant noodles, milk, cakes of all kinds and filtered water to Cam Gia ward, Linh Son ward and some other communes of Thai Nguyen province. We hope that these practical gifts will help reduce the immediate difficulties, adding confidence and strength for the people to soon stabilize their lives.
Not only the Thai Binh Thien Tam Club or the kind-hearted people in the above communes, at many receiving points in the province, the officials, volunteers and people are also busy sorting, packing, loading goods onto the truck, all urgently with warm feelings. The charity trucks will roll to the flooded areas, bringing food, provisions and above all, the warmth of human love and fellow countrymen.
