Tuberculosis screening for 2,000 prisoners at Xuan Ha Prison

(Baohatinh.vn) - All prisoners at Xuan Ha Prison (Toan Luu Commune, Ha Tinh) have been screened by doctors at Ha Tinh Lung Hospital to promptly detect tuberculosis cases.

Implementing the National Tuberculosis Control Program in 2025, Ha Tinh Lung Hospital coordinated with Xuan Ha Prison to organize tuberculosis screening for prisoners serving sentences there.

The hospital mobilized doctors and a portable X-ray system and mobile X-ray vehicles to the prison to conduct X-rays on 2,000 prisoners to promptly detect lung lesions. Prison is a special environment with a high risk of tuberculosis infection, so tuberculosis screening is carried out annually by the hospital and the Xuan Ha Prison Board of Directors to promptly detect tuberculosis cases.
