Quan Chu, the name of that land of Dai Tu, has existed for a long time. According to Dai Viet Su Ky Toan Thu, more than 500 years ago, the Mac Dynasty, during their march north to the capital Thang Long, allowed the construction of Thien Truc Pagoda to pray for blessings for the people. In the 1940s and 1950s, a revolutionary spark was ignited at the Lan Than base on the mountainside... Stories like these contributed to creating a mindset for Quan Chu both then and now.

Quan Chu town under the eastern slope of Tam Dao. |
Dai Tu District is located at the foot of the East slope of Tam Dao, green all year round. Quan Chu is a highlight, a highlight that carries the heart, scope and position of the past, present and future. It should also be mentioned that the merger of Quan Chu commune into Quan Chu town into a new administrative unit according to the Resolution of the National Assembly in early 2023 is in line with practical requirements, closely linked to the implementation of the policy of streamlining the apparatus, reducing focal points, reducing budget expenditures; creating sustainability in implementing local development goals and tasks, creating a new position and stature for Quan Chu.
Quan Chu Town has a natural area of 53.18km2, a population of 8,769 people, located in the South of Dai Tu district, adjacent to Pho Yen city, Song Cong city and Thai Nguyen city, with extremely valuable conditions.
The entire western length of Quan Chu town is backed by the Tam Dao mountain range. Tam Dao creates a clean water source and a fresh, cool microclimate, so rice and industrial crops grow well and have high productivity.
At the foot of the mountain, it is very convenient for developing tourism and resorts. The mountainside has both a Zen monastery (a place to teach Buddhism), a Truc Lam pagoda (a place to practice and cultivate the mind) and a historical site where the Pham Hong Thai National Salvation Army Platoon was founded and operated before the uprising. A place where both religion and life converge like this is truly rare...
Please take a few lines to talk about Truc Lam Tay Truc Zen Monastery, the Tay Thien Truc Pagoda over 500 years old and the historical site where the Pham Hong Thai Platoon was founded nearly 80 years ago, the highlights that create the Chu Army's mentality. The Tam Dao range starts from Hong Mountain, gradually descends and ends in the area of Pho Yen City (Thai Nguyen), Soc Son (Hanoi). The three highest mountains in the range have peaks of 1,143m; the western slope belongs to Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc, while the eastern slope mainly belongs to Thai Nguyen.
More than 500 years ago, general Mac Dang Dung seized the throne from Le Cung Hoang (Later Le) in June 1527, but the Mac dynasty did not last long, during which many years it established bases in mountainous provinces, in addition to building citadels and ramparts. The Mac dynasty was a period of development in education, trade, culture, and the construction of many pagodas, with the main practice being the Truc Lam Zen sect.
Adjacent to the Zen Monastery, at an altitude of about 300m, is the Monument House of the Monument of the Founding of the Pham Hong Thai National Salvation Army, a revolutionary historical relic with a particularly important role and position... Mr. Vu Xuan Thuan, who has volunteered to restore and be the master of incense at Tay Thien Truc Pagoda for many years, said: The Lan Than Base of the Pham Hong Thai Platoon took refuge mainly in the ancient pagoda. More than 40 years ago, seeing this pagoda in the middle of the forest degraded and at risk of being abandoned, I volunteered to be the master of incense to protect and restore it.
Understanding the value of the historical revolutionary relic, knowing that the precious pagoda is located in the Tam Dao pagoda cluster, since 2014, with the invitation of authorities at all levels, organizations and Buddhists, monk Thich Kien Nguyet (Abbot of Tay Thien pagoda in Vinh Phuc) proposed, and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Thai Nguyen province and Dai Tu district established a project to renovate the pagoda and build Truc Lam Tay Truc Zen Monastery.
Venerable Thich Thien Phuc, who is taking care of the Zen Monastery every day, and Venerable Thich Hue Chuong said: With current conditions, the Zen Monastery can meet the greater practice needs of the people.

In particular, key projects such as: Road connecting Thai Nguyen - Vinh Phuc - Bac Giang provinces; residential projects, resort tourism, eco-tourism are implemented, will be a breakthrough in attracting investment, developing the economy - society in the southern area of Dai Tu district.
The goal is to build Quan Chu town to meet development requirements, truly become a developed urban area in the future, a driving force for the southern socio-economic development of the district; solve difficulties in administrative boundary management, expand the urban space of the town, increase revenue and reduce the burden on the State budget, help the locality concentrate investment resources, develop synchronous infrastructure, contribute to promoting socio-economic development, improve the quality of life of local people. This is the basis and premise for Dai Tu district to build a new rural district, basically meeting the criteria of a town by 2025 and striving to become a town by 2030.
Today, Quan Chu has put on a bright, spacious coat. People are happy and excited because of the practical benefits that the New Rural Development Program brings, as well as the development potential from the expanded Quan Chu urban area.
The unity and solidarity between “Party’s will and people’s heart” will be an important driving force to encourage the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Quan Chu town to strive for greater results. Quan Chu town is located at the end of Dai Tu district to the West but is adjacent to 3 cities to the East and South, namely Pho Yen city, Song Cong city and Thai Nguyen city, with forest, land and water resources; has a spiritual living area, historical relics; has regional connecting roads passing through and many large projects… has enough conditions for development.
A beautiful and traditional Quan Chu has emerged and has a bright future. Because this land has internal strength and many advantages: Land and forest, water resources, tea, space for tourism and relaxation; good geopolitics and most importantly, the gentle and dynamic Quan Chu people.
