Hugo Ekitike is creating a sensation for the Anfield team, becoming the first player since Daniel Sturridge in 2013 to score three goals in three consecutive appearances for Liverpool.
The young French striker has had a more convincing start in his first three games for Liverpool.
He opened his account with a goal against Crystal Palace in the Community Shield. Then, the player born in 2002 continued to shine brightly with a goal and an assist to help Liverpool have a thrilling victory over Bournemouth in the opening round of the Premier League.
And most recently, in the tense match with Newcastle on the night of August 25, it was Ekitike who scored to help Liverpool have a dramatic victory at St James' Park.
After the match, when asked about pursuing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, coach Arne Slot cleverly refused and directed the media's attention to his favorite student.
"I think today's story should be about Hugo Ekitike," the Dutch coach stressed. "It would be unfair for me to talk about anything else. This is his third game for the team and he has scored three goals. He has had a huge impact in the last few games. It is not the time to talk about anything else."

Coach Slot's words of praise show his absolute faith in Ekitike. The 22-year-old striker is proving to be the perfect piece to Liverpool's attack and promises to become one of the brightest stars of the Premier League this season.
Last summer, Liverpool spent 93 million USD to bring Hugo Ekitike to Anfield from Eintracht Frankfurt. However, this price could increase to 106 million USD if the French striker achieves impressive results.
